Harley-Davidson Johannesburg Tyre & Brake Maintenance Program
General Operative Clause
This maintenance program and the schedule are the contract between Insync Bikes & Accessories Pty Ltd trading as Harley-Davidson Johannesburg and the client. Any application or statement made by Harley-Davidson Johannesburg will form the basis of this maintenance program and be part thereof.
In consideration of and upon receipt of the debit order, Harley-Davidson Johannesburg will indemnify the client subject to the terms, exclusion and conditions of the maintenance program, against occurrences for which the client is covered under the maintenance program that occur during the period of the maintenance program in the schedule.
Insured Events
The maintenance program will cover the client against the following;
Events covered under this maintenance program are wear & tear, tyre cuts, bursts or road inequalities, malicious damage to a tyre and punctures. This maintenance program will only apply to tyres, discs, disc pads fitted to bikes that are privately owned and not used for commercial purposes in anyway whatsoever.
Accidental Damage
This maintenance program will reimburse the client the cost of repair or replacement of a tyre including valves and balancing in the event of loss due to cuts, bursts or road inequalities.
Wear & Tear
This maintenance program will replace the clients tyres, discs or disc pads due to wear & tear. The maintenance program must be in force for more than 6 months before this cover will commence.
General Conditions
A month to month basis if premiums are paid by means of debit order system.
Debit order will be on 1st of every month and are deducted in advance.
The client must exercise all reasonable precautions for the maintenance and safety of the property covered as well as to prevent or minimise loss or damage.
The maintenance program may be cancelled by the client or Harley-Davidson Johannesburg any time, giving the client 30 days written notice thereof at the clients last contact address according to Harley-Davidson Johannesburg’s records.
Limit of Indemnity
Harley-Davidson Johannesburg will indemnify the client up to a maximum of
R 2 500-00 per tyre.
Claims
A credit will be paid out should the tyre/s become irreparably damaged on a maintained South African road as a result of a cut, bruise, impact break or puncture, excluding cosmetic, chemical or atmospheric damages. The client will receive authorisation from Harley-Davidson Johannesburg for the replacement value of the tyre/s up to a maximum of R 2 500-00 per tyre. Tyre/s must be fitted and purchased from Harley-Davidson Johannesburg or be authorised by Harley-Davidson Johannesburg.
Any occurrence where theft or any other criminal act or loss has been involved must be reported to the police within 7 days of the event. Harley-Davidson Johannesburg’s rights after an occurrence that may lead to a claim
The client shall at the expense of Harley-Davidson Johannesburg, do and permit to be done all such things as may be necessary or reasonably required by Harley-Davidson Johannesburg for the purpose of enforcing any rights to which Harley-Davidson Johannesburg shall be, or would become, subrogated upon indemnification of the client.
Fraudulent or wilful acts
Excess
This maintenance program carries no excess payable by the client in respect of the first claim. However, should a second claim be made in the same year, an excess of R 600-00 will apply, except in the case of punctures, where no excess is applied.
